1. Cancellation of an order

1.1. Personalized items

Any item that involves customization, such as made-to-measure, or where the item is not available in stock and is ordered from the manufacturer (including sofas, tables, beds, sofa beds, chairs, wardrobes, storage units, etc.) cannot be exchanged or returned after purchase. Cancellations of orders for these items can only be made within 48 hours of purchase on our website. After this period, the purchase is considered final and binding, as stipulated in our Terms and Conditions.

2. Returning an item

2.1 Personalized items

As with cancellations, any item that involves customization, such as made-to-measure, cannot be exchanged or returned after purchase. This includes all sofas, tables, beds, sofa beds, chairs, wardrobes, storage units, rugs and similar products. Order cancellations can only be made within 48 hours of purchase. After this time, the purchase is considered final and binding, as stipulated in our Terms and Conditions.


2.2. Small decorative accessories and decorative objects for the home

For small home decor accessories, such as candles, diffusers, glasses and other small decorative items , you have 14 days to return your purchase. We kindly ask that you take charge of shipping the items to our address.

To initiate a return, please follow these steps:

  • Contact our customer service by email at eshop@depotdesign.be and provide your order number.
  • Ship the item in its original packaging to our address: Depot Design, Avenue du Port 86C - box 2001, 1000 Brussels, Belgium.
  • Upon receipt of your returned item unused and in its original packaging, the refund will be credited to your original method of payment, less shipping costs (if applicable) and a 10% restocking fee calculated on your order total.

2.3. Defective products

All returns of defective products must be authorized by Depot Design. Return shipping costs for defective products and shipping of the new or repaired product will be covered by Depot Design. Please refer to our warranty terms for more details as stated in our Terms and Conditions.

3. Item damaged upon arrival

We strive to ensure your items arrive in perfect condition, but accidents can happen during transit. If you receive a damaged item, please follow these steps:

  • Accept delivery if the item is in usable condition.
  • Report the problem to us immediately and send photos or videos by email to eshop@depotdesign.be so that we can determine the best and fastest solution for you.

4. Right of withdrawal (EU/EEA/UK consumers)

4.1. Standard products

Consumers have the right to withdraw from the purchase of a standard product without any costs or justification within 14 days from the day after delivery of the item ordered remotely. This right does not apply to personalized products; this includes all sofas, tables, beds, sofa beds, chairs, wardrobes, storage units, carpets and similar products. Standard products include small home decoration accessories, such as candles, diffusers, glasses and other small decorative objects.


4.2. Customized products

Custom products include those made to measure, products requiring a textile covering chosen by the customer and products that can be configured according to specific requests. This includes products such as sofas, tables, beds, sofa beds, chairs, wardrobes, storage units, rugs and other configurable or made-to-order furniture.

To exercise the right of withdrawal for standard products, follow these steps:

  • Send an email to our customer service team at eshop@depotdesign.be , indicating the order number and the IBAN number of the bank account for the refund.
  • You will receive a confirmation email, along with instructions for the return process.
  • Exercising the right of withdrawal requires you to return the products of the cancelled order in perfect condition and in their original packaging within 14 days from exercising the right of withdrawal. Shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.

After receiving the products in perfect condition and in their original packaging, we will refund you promptly, no later than 14 days after exercising the right of withdrawal. Depot Design reserves the right to claim compensation for the use of the product if it is found that the customer has used the product beyond what is necessary to exercise the right of withdrawal.
